Question 1

What is ADS-B data?

Accepted Answer

ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast) is the system modern aircraft use to continuously broadcast their position, speed, and altitude. Each print is drawn from these real signals, picked up by ground receivers near the airport. I keep the flights with a clean arrival or departure and set the rest aside.

Question 2

How is each print made? Is it AI art?

Accepted Answer

It starts as real ADS-B flight data, then it's finished by hand. Software renders the flight paths for an airport, and from there I take over: I choose the days and flights that make the strongest image, tune the trails, and quality-check every piece before it goes to print. That choosing is the craft, and it's why no two airports look alike. Each print is composed by an artist, from traffic that actually flew.

Question 3

What sizes do you offer?

Accepted Answer

Five sizes: 8×12", 16×24", 20×30", 24×36" and 32×48". Aluminum and paper come in every size; framed prints go up to 24×36". Choose the material and size on the product page.

Question 4

What materials do you offer?

Accepted Answer

Three. Glossy white aluminum, dye-sublimated with float mount hardware on the back. Fine art paper, rolled in a tube for the frame of your choice: 330 gsm cotton rag in the United States, 200 gsm enhanced matte from the lab nearest you elsewhere. Or that paper framed in black, natural or white, behind acrylic and ready to hang: solid oak in the United States, solid wood from the lab nearest you in the UK, EU, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland and Norway. Aluminum ships within the US; paper ships worldwide.

Question 5

What do the colors mean?

Accepted Answer

Each flight path is colorized by altitude. Low-altitude traffic like final approaches appears in different tones than aircraft climbing through departure or at cruising altitude. The result is a full altitude fingerprint of the airport's traffic.

Question 6

How do I choose a theme?

Accepted Answer

Each airport is available in multiple visual themes, with both a dark and a light background variant of each. Pick a theme and background on the product page, and the preview image updates so you can see exactly what you'll receive.

Question 7

How long does production take?

Accepted Answer

Every print is made to order. Aluminum prints are dye-sublimated in 2-3 business days; paper prints take 2-4 and framed prints 3-5, each made by the lab nearest you. Shipping time then depends on your location.

Question 8

Do you ship internationally?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Paper prints ship worldwide and framed prints to the US, UK, EU, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland and Norway, each made by the lab nearest you. Aluminum prints ship within the United States. Delivery is included on every order with no minimum, and most arrive 3-7 business days after production. Outside the US, UK, EU, Canada and Australia, local duties or fees may apply on delivery.

Question 9

What's included with the print?

Accepted Answer

Aluminum prints come with float mount hardware pre-installed on the back, creating a clean ¾" gap off the wall, ready to hang. Paper prints arrive unframed and rolled in a protective tube, ready for the frame of your choice. Framed prints come behind acrylic with the hanging hardware fitted: in the United States in a solid oak frame with a kraft dust cover, elsewhere in a solid wood frame.

Question 10

What's your return policy?

Accepted Answer

You have 30 days from delivery to return your print for a refund or exchange, even though each one is made to order. If it arrives damaged or flawed, I'll replace or refund it at no cost to you. See the Returns & Refunds page for the full details.

Question 11

Can I request a specific airport?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Search for it: if it isn't in the collection yet, I'll make it to order at the same price, as long as there's enough flight data.

Question 12

What does the QR code on the print do?

Accepted Answer

Every print includes a QR code that links to a detailed flight report for that airport: traffic patterns, routes, aircraft, hourly breakdowns, and more.
