Frequently asked questions
- Are these tools free?
- Yes, every tool is free and works without an account or login. They run entirely in your browser.
- Do these tools work offline?
- Tools that decode data you paste (ADS-B decoder, METAR decoder, TAF decoder, winds aloft decoder, CRC checker, Mode S builder) work entirely in the browser and need no network after the page loads. Tools that fetch live data for an airport (crosswind calculator, density altitude, sunrise/sunset, Zulu time) need a connection to retrieve the current observation.
- Can I use these tools for flight planning?
- These tools are educational references. They are not a substitute for an official pre-flight weather briefing, a certified flight planning application, or the POH for your aircraft.
